Dearest Ryan,
Thanks so much for giving us some of your precious time by writing that! I love writing long blogs about special people who enter our lives (please also read ‘Third Place Might As Well Be Last’). But don’t you know how this world works? People hate on Beyonce too ‘cause she has Christian songs but wears midriffs and mini-skirts and sings about sex. But she’s one of the top artists out there… You know why? ‘Cause she stayed true to herself. That she’s human and she’s gonna have impure thoughts. But that don’t mean she’s not a good, hard-working person. It doesn’t mean she goes around lyin’, stealin’, and cheatin’ on JayZ.
If we walked around like perfect angels, do you think anyone
would be able to relate to us? It’s not the good people, like yourself, that we
want to reach with our work, it’s the 99% of the world who are lost and in
trouble like every member of Allstars has been or still is. If you only knew my
past or my co-members, you’d even have more to say about us! We use certain
music and do certain moves because we like them and we think our audience will like it too, simple as that. The truth is, we’re all sinners, and you know
what, please don’t play the Sunday Christian. Unless you are God, do not judge
others who you don’t know, because only He has the right to do that. And HELL
YEA, Jabawockeez are probably better than us, we never said we are the best.
You should hear how many times we say we suck!!! But why do you think Allstars won the World Championship? Through this group, we found our way to the Lord. Yes, we are still getting to know Him, and we are quite surprised He is so close to us, but don’t be jealous now! If Allstars has inspired one person through the two-and-a half years of being together, we’ve already accomplished enough.
You’e damn right too! We are ‘sheeps in wolves clothing’! Wolves are hungry and strong, while the sheep are obedient and weak. That’s Allstars in 12 contradictory words… And besides, God created both creatures for a reason, just like there’s a reason you hatedly commented us: So we can tell the rest out there who think the same thing as you exactly what I just said! One love bro, you keep walking with Bestfriend and work really hard and maybe a bunch of people will hate on you too someday.
To everyone else, please send more hate comments so I have more to write about! Especially about us being crappy dancers and being wanna-be Christians! I LOVE doing this!

Okay Ms. Chelo, I’ll try to display also another wonderful comment in your friendster or multiply account about you guys being ‘crappy’ but I guess that’d be difficult… because as a dancer, I feel for you, the Allstars, and I think my group also knows the feeling of being misjudged by people. We do not always get positive feedback from our friends, schoolmates, and our school’s admin. [they dont give us funds! =|] but still we continue to dance because we believe that through dancing we glorify Him and I do believe that is most important.
God bless ALLSTARS! I wish you more hate comments to come!['coz that would mean more people get to know you guys ;)]

I like what you wrote in reply to Ryan’s hate comment though I may not agree with all that you wrote. I am a Christian too but a struggling one…What is important is that we make the effort to get close to Him and also reach out to others who are “lost and in trouble” because we, Christians, also get lost and get in trouble like others. just my thoughts about using songs with explicit words..
allstars is a dance crew. they play these songs just to dance to their tunes. i believe that what matters in dancing is the songs’ beats, sounds, effects, etc., and not their meanings. if allstars were a christian choir, and they sing these songs, that would be the problematic case (imagine a choir singing lil jon’s “to the window, to the wall, to the sweat drip down my balls.”). what the crew is actually promoting is their dancing, not their song selections.
if you (ryan) are disturbed of the songs allstars use, that’s you’re opinion and we can’t do anything about it. but to judge other people’s traits based on the songs they use or listen to is just wrong.
i am a fan of ludacris’ rapping; but that doesn’t mean that i approve of his cursing. it’s just the same with how i admire former president marcos’ intelligence, but at the same time hate his dictatorial tendencies.

whoah.. he didn’t even have time to look at the positive side of the Allstars..
true true.. the Allstars might not be the best.. but I think for me.. to win a competition.. you need not be the best team.. you just got to do BETTER than the BEST team.. and you did that when you won the world championships.. for me.. as a dance group.. what matters is the attitude.. what I like about your group is you’re still so down to earth.. unlike other groups.. you represent the Philippines really good. i’m not ashamed of you guys, win or lose.. i’m with you..
as for the “God” part.. uhmm I think he gave us free will in order for us to be able to make up our own decisions, for us to learn from our mistakes, to live a happy and exciting life.. it would have been boring if he gave us all the knowledge and wisdom in the world, right? God doesn’t force us to love and appreciate him.. and that’s why whatever we do, whatever we dedicate to him, we do it in our own will. sorry if we are sinners, but at least we did our best to try and do the right thing for God, not because he forced us to, but because we want to, in our own will.
with all that’s been said and done.. what’s important is the intent.. true.. you might use songs with explicit lyrics.. but this explicit songs, i think, are the most honest songs i ever heard. why? because they don’t hide on double meanings, they don’t hide true meanings.. they show what they really are.. and this is one of the things a good person should own.. honesty.. true loyalty is being able to express what you really feel..

lets put this in this way mr. Ryan dancing is not just a ordinary thing to do, and if your good at it, you may count it as a blessing you know entertaining a buch of million people around the globe isnt easy like jabbawockeez do, but did you ever consider how our very own Phil.ALL stars did just to embark our native land in the pedestal? for our country to be recognize and for once for us to be proud to be PINOY’s well you know you should be ashame to your self, coz i think you had just hitted the foul line, you had just exsercise too much of your freedom of expression, me my self also recognized the jabbawockeez to tell you frankly im one of their avid fan, but never in a way i did compare this to great crew, coz their both pointing above…. they both represent something else when they dance and when they dance both of them do give a 101% of them just to praise that person who’s their above watching, and i mean watching proudly for their achievements… so for you mr.Ryan better think of the things you can do best and try not to critizide on those people who do best on thier chosen fields… peace out PH ALL STARS aim high and always keep your feet on the ground… GOD1st +saintscrew+JAZZ#28

Ryan, you are completely STUPID. I mean, they praise God because he’s the reason why we’re all here. And, I’d REALLY like to see you dance. To see if you can be better than the Allstars, I’m sure, your ass would be kicked in less than 5 seconds FLAT. And, what’s wrong with using EXPLICIT lyrics in songs? It’s not like the Allstars are saying it TO God. And I’m hella sure that God understands them if they use songs like these. I mean, GIVE ME ONE SONG today that doesn’t have explicit content or sexual content. HOW IDIOTIC. And sure, Jabbawockeez might be good. But, that doesn’t mean that they’re better than the Allstars. They’re just as equally good. And get this, IT’S NOT THAT IMPORTANT TO THE ALLSTARS TO SEE WHO’S THE BEST OR NOT. ‘CAUSE REMEMBER, THEY DANCE FOR GOD. NOT for FAME. First of all Jabbawockeez’s and Allstars’ styles are totally different… so you cannot really say that one is waaaayyy better than the other and besides these two groups haven’t had a chance to compete with each other and be judged or ranked by QUALIFIED people. So ryan, there’s no way you can find justification for your opinion…
As I was reading your comment,I’ve noticed ryan that you speak as though you were a better person than the members of the allstars… well, I want you to reflect on this question…What contributions have you given your country other than motivating the Allstars to push through on Dancing for God’s Glory by posting a FOOLISH comment??? I really hope that you’ll find at least one answer for that…
I also want to add that even if you had noticed a flaw or weakness in The Allstars’ way of dancing… Sigurado namang they are wise enough to know that GOD’s power will work on that weakness and humble enough to admit that they are not perfect….
To my precious Allstars,
I really admire you guyzzz for having the ability to dance with real greatness and also the ability to deal positively with difficult people such as RYAN…Hmmm…(May God still give Him Grace…hehehe…)

applause to you guys of Allstars! I’m glad to read about how you guys handle these kinds of criticisms. what that Ryan guy did was just rude. and if you’d look at everything in an artist’s point of view, almost everything can be beautiful.
and speaking as a brother in Christ, I’m truly proud to say that even in a slightest way i know you guys. it’s really awesome that you guys represent the cross of Jesus as much as or even more than the flag. rejoice in times where people bring you down because of the Gospel because as Chelo beautifully put it: “Ridicule and hate is the path of a true disciple, for it was also the path…of our Savior”

Am just awaken a while ago when i get read this blogs. It’s tenderly harassed
Anyway, before I hate hip hop coz of boastful gestures and dress ups but when i encountered hip hop troupe in which the passion of this stuff is getting crave. And, on that time I considered the trend nowadays in relating how HIP HOP can change the world or local community.
Thanx God, we’re getting through to this concept the Hip Hop is not a matter of demonic concept but it can really an effective medium on preparing the good future on this generation. Although, this concept is about to launch but i believe that youth can crave for peace through Hip Hop…. that’s why we named our group “Peace@Work”.

hate is what u get when you’re doing things right. i ain’t a dancer but we work in the same industry and i tell you the hate i generate comes from my own family, friends and ex-girlfriend. i’ve seen kenjhons before from way back def concept and this dude’s got real talent, same goes with the rest of you. so keep it up. people might hate but the mother P.I. surely loves you.
